Sands Of Kahana 231

Great location on the Sands of Kahana property as well as on the island of Maui. Really appreciated the air conditioner in the master. We had a few hot days. Nicely decorated. Will stat there again.

Our vacation at Sands of Kahana was for a month beginning mid January. The condo is very nice. It needs badly to have an upgrade with respect to kitchen utensils.
The barbecues for the complex are in poor repair, very few are working and It becomes really inconvenient and frustrating.with so many people trying to barbecue with so few BBQS working big draw back for the facility.

My husband and I booked Maui over the Christmas holidays and were so thrilled with selecting this unit! The unit had expansive windows in every room and the use of the washer/dryer was life saving! The steps to the sandy beach were top notch - and something VERY few other locations have on the coast. We found the price reasonable for the unit and comparable to its condition (a few items needed repair/updating) but overall nothing beat the morning view from the patio as whales breached out in the ocean.

We had a wonderful time and the rental unit was great. We were very pleased that it had an a/c unit in the bedroom. My only complaint is that someone took my shoes at the pool and they were not returned. We will definitely be back, however.

The Sands of Kahana was fantastic. Great location, very comfortable, clean and relaxing room. AC in room was plenty. loved the breeZe and sounds from the ocean. Looking forward to our next visit.

All you could ask for

This is a wonderful place to stay. We got hit with some weather for a few days, and even staying in was very comfortable and relaxing. A couple minor items could be updated, but overall an excellent place to stay in the beautiful Sands of Kahana.

The property description of the condo is accuate as the corner condo does have very good views of the ocean and mountains. The amenities within the condo are good, cutlery and dishes do need an upgrade soon.
The biggest inconvenience was the outdoor BBQ's for condo users, they were mostly inoperative. This is a significant issue and should be corrected. Most condo users want to cook outdoors and usually it happens at the same times (meal times). With only 1 of 4 BBQ's operational at our building it made BBQing frustrating and almost impossible to do. It was the same situation at the other buildings as well as it was difficult finding an operational BBQ's at the other buildings.

Great location! Across the street was a small convenience store, sushi restaurant, and a pub. Just up the street is Maui Brewing company which has excellent food and beer (super close walk). The room had a nice corner view of the ocean. My only complaint is that there were no staple spices (salt, pepper, garlic etc) that I have always found at other rentals. The concierge was very helpful. The beach is rocky so bring your water shoes for sure. Comfortably slept 4 adults.

We have been owners since 1999. We moved from a 2 bdrm to this 1 bdrm for our 2nd week. Unit was very dirty, was not cleaned. After unpacking we sat down to notice our feet were completely black! Floors were filthy. Pulled carpet back, total dirt line.(I have photos)Unit door in Kit was not opening. Kit & Liv Rm were very hot, absolutely no air flow. Fan needs to be thrown out. Was on full force yet air could not be felt. Useless. We had to have the exterior unit door open in order to get any airflow in there. Does this permanent door closure violate fire codes? We called 2Xto ask if door could be opened w no response. Found coffee pot dirty with a moldy coffee filter in it. Disgusting! Dust was very thick on furniture, I could actually write in it.(I have Photos) Very dirty glass panels on Lanai obstructed the view.2nd bath drawer falls off its track.Mstrbath glass window panels in shower were moldy. Cookware (frying pan) needs replacement. Everything sticks&burns in it. I spent way too much time cleaning that pan. Get a Non stick pan. We basically lived in the bedrm which had A/C that wouldn't be needed if the airflow could return to how the unit was designed. I will not review this unit on any other site, as I would like to think these things could be improved upon to keep the integrity of the SOK at its best. I've been a Realtor for 40 yrs & know what it takes to offer the basics for a comfortable stay. This was the 1st time we were very disappointed with our accommodations. This unit was not worth the money we paid. We tried to leave the unit as much as we could to not have to spend time in it. I did not get the benefit of the cleaning fee we're all paying. Owner has been ripped off,& us too, as this unit hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Please rectify.

We love coming to the Sands of Kahana. The property has everything we need, a nice room, beach, pool, fun bar and restaurant. We especially like that it is walking distance to other bars, restaurants, convenient store and equipment rentals. Nice walking paths too.

We always love staying at the Sands of Kahana. It has everything we need, a nice room, good beach, fun pool, cool beach bar and restaurant. We also like that it is close to other restaurants, a general store and more.

Sand of Kahana is a beautiful resort. Grounds are kept, pool was very nice, beach for beautiful. The only complaint that we had was the cleaning of the condo we stayed in. It had everything you needed, balcony was nice in the morning, but the floors were filthy. I usually don’t go bare footed but I had to go to balcony to the bed from and kitchen and I did not wear my shoes. My feet were black when I got back to the balcony. I did not make that mistake again. With covid I was really surprised with the floors. Everything else was ok.

We were pleasantly surprised that this rental was even more beautiful and spacious than the listing photos show. Fabulous location, beautiful grounds and amenities.

Amazing property! You didn't even have to leave the resort, everything you need is onsite! You go down the elevators and you're just footsteps to the beach, great food in the Beach Club restaurant, ample parking! Conveniently located! We were very happy with the unit it offered ocean views, kitchen if you choose to cook, washer/dryer in the unit was very useful and 2 bathrooms. Cannot wait to come back!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this unit at The Sands of Kahana very much! Location is great in that you can walk to several restaurants for food and drinks. There is convenient beach access and the beach was not crowded at all. The unit is spacious and nicely updated, with with everything in good working order, King bed is comfy and AC in the bedroom is very welcome at night. We look forward to staying here again!

The room was incredible! The only complaint is that we wish we had more time to there! The view was perfect, the bed was very comfortable (it’s always hard when beds aren’t comfortable on vacations!). The kitchen was stocked with lots of cookware which made nights in so much easier. We can’t wait to book our trip again with Sullivan Properties!

We spent a wonderful week in Maui at the Sands of Kahana. We have been to the Sands when my children were younger. Great access to beach, nice pool, spa and restaurant on site. We will be back.

We spent eight fabulous days in this condo. The views from the deck were wonderful and the location was perfect for day trips to Lahaina and Kapalua when we weren’t enjoying the beach right here at the resort!!! We will definitely be back hopefully during whale watching season!!!

The rental had great value. Especially compared to the others in the area. The area doesn't have that many eating places and having a restaurant and beach onsite really made things great when you didn't want to leave the complex. I enjoyed my stay.

Location was good. Shops nearby. Great value for the unit. Nothing fancy but was everything we needed. Visited in early March and had great views of whales and sunset. Gym was a bit disappointing but had some equipment to work out. Overall would recommend.

We have enjoyed your properties for to years now the standards are high and consistent. See you soon.

We enjoyed the property, specifically the size and walking distance to Maui Brewing / coffee shop. The view of the beach is just above the side of the building, which was a maintenance storage area. The 2nd balcony has a view of the parking lot. We would have preferred otherwise, but overall enjoyed our stay immensely!

The one bedroom was really nice with two lanais. Beautiful view of the beach and ocean from living room lanai. Walking distance to coffee and of course The ABC Store! (about 1 mile one way) The property manager was easy to get in touch with and very helpful.

What a terrific vacation rental! Clean, well supplied, and a great view from 2 lanais! We didn't spend much time in the room (it's Maui, after all), but we were certainly comfortable during the time we spent there! Thanks!

Weather was good, a little warm, but plenty of breezes. The Sands seems to be getting better, more aloha and upgrades. Very cool little unit. Nice to have the mountain view and the ocean view. You were very helpful as was the front desk. It really was nice that we were able to move right into 231 after checking out from another unit
