Kahana Sunset D6

This was perfect for our family. We loved our stay. So fun to see turtles on the beach every night.

Nicely setup with an amazing view. Appreciated the towels and kitchen utensils available. Only concern was the cockroach in the cupboard and the three dead ones we found, though they did spray the day after we arrived.

The place was awesome other then it was very dirty. The floors were not cleaned and bedspread and blankets were dirty

Our 43rd time to Maui with a large share of those visits at Kahana Sunset.
It is our families best memories of time together.
Now into our fourth generation of family fun(our grandkids) the visits get more precious, more important and more endearing. It is a treasure unlike any others in the Islands.

Kahana Sunset is a beautiful treasure and always our first pick for a family vacation together. Safe, quiet, immaculate grounds and breathtaking views make it so relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms are immaculately clean even though the furnishings and kitchen amenities are a bit worn. Sullivan Properties is a pleasure to work with - professional w excellent communication when we had questions. Would definitely recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at Kahana Sunset. The unit was as advertised. Each day we walked to the market, played in the ocean & relaxed.

I love how easy it was to get to our unit and how we always had close parking. The beach access was perfect and the grounds were beautiful. The floor plan of the condo was great for a small family and in laws.

Overall a great place to stay. Clean and modern. Great view of the ocean. Private beach and pool near amenities. We will stay here again if available.

My fourth stay at Kahana Sunset,2nd stay in D-6.This unit did not disappoint as far as accommodations, cleanliness, and location. Since our last stay, air conditioning has been added and greatly appreciated. Minor inconveniences were the refrigerator and sun shade. The icemaker became clogged due melting ice which had to be removed to become functional again. As with our last visit the son shade kept retracting every hour and we had to get up repeatedly to extend it again. The beach was a lot of fun for snorkeling, saw turtles every day, and very calm during our stay. Overall, Kahana Sunset did not disappoint!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kahana Sunset. Our unit, D6, was clean, mostly updated, easy to access, and provided a spectacular view. Only a few suggestions: replace the mattresses in both bedrooms as they seemed old and saggy. Also the living room furniture was not very comfortable and could use updating. Plus putting a nice 5x8 rug in front of
the sliding glass door would be a nice touch.

Ideal place for a family to stay. Lots of room, 2 1/2 bathrooms and a huge kitchen.

Everything was as it appears in the pictures! Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. The beach was not huge but was sufficient for a cool down on a hot day. We enjoyed watching the turtles come around at sunset. Pool was a close walk from condo. property location is in a quieter area. we stocked up at Costco but there are groceries stores and a few restaurants close by. It was a full day if wanting to site see the road to Hana. Overall enjoyable property for families with younger children. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Loved this place. perfect location on Maui. loved the 2 levels. BEST views.
quiet beach, amazing snorkeling, 12 sea turtles, a monk seal, close to amazing trails, mangos, papayas & coconuts. Serious paradise.

Second time in this unit and third time at the complex. Plenty of room and gorgeous views. Grounds are kept well maintained.

Wonderful experience. The unit was clean, modern and very comfortable. Every staff member we encountered were professional and courteous. The grounds are kept immaculate. We saw whales breaching everyday from our balcony. Sea turtles were a nice surprise while snorkeling and they even sun on the beach right there at Kahana Sunset beach. Recommend Kahana Sunset to everyone.

A few minor items: awning would randomly retract and no AC but instructions say to turn off AC

I took my wife and 4 kids (ages 4 thru 14) to stay here for a week. It was our first time to Hawaii and with 4 kids we were looking for a place that would be low key, affordable, close to the ocean, has a pool, and sleeps 6 comfortably. This place fit the bill perfectly and measured up in every way when we got there. The small beach is steps away, the pool was great for the kids, the shower by the water kept the sand down there instead of in the condo and the community had a few ocean toys that could be shared while we were there. All the neighbors were pretty quite and everyone goes to bed at a reasonable time (great for our young kids). It was fantastic and just what we needed. Property manager had clear communication before we got there. With self checkin/out we never had a need to speak to them since everything in the condo was great. The only feedback I would give is before we left I called to see what amenities were open/closed due to Covid and the property manager confirmed everything was open including the pool, grill, gym, and on-site restaurant. I asked them to confirm this a second time since I had not seen a gym or restaurant on the list of property amenities and they did. When we arrived there was no gym or on-site restaurant. Perhaps they just need to update their documents or they were looking at the wrong property. Either way, not a big deal but in case you hear the same thing now you know.

Timely, familiar, affordable, relaxing and comfortable.

Spent 10 days here and the property met all my family's (5) needs. Unit was well-equipped with all amenities and conveniences. Description and pictures are accurate. Public areas were well-groomed (the property staff really keep everything in tip-top condition). Private beach was wonderful and beautiful. We always physically safe - including COVID safety - and everyone around was respectful of each other. We would be return renters. Never had a need to reach out to the property mgmt, but they were good with communicating throughout the booking to departure.
