This unit proudly features:

Your condominium will be supplied with beach towels. It will not however be stocked with beach equipment. Too often items break or go missing and it is not feasible to track and replace the items. Sullivan Properties, Inc firmly believes in recycling & lowering the carbon footprint we leave on this planet! If items are purchased or acquired by guests and are still in good condition, we are happy to leave them in the unit for others to enjoy. If they are extremely dirty or broken, we must toss them out. There are places nearby that rent beach amenities – your property might also have an onsite rental shack. Most of the rental places nearby offer daily or weekly rates. Please note, we are not endorsing these companies simply providing the more popular options in the area : Snorkel Bobs in the Kahana Gateway Center, Boss Frogs in the Napili Plaza and Boss Frogs in Kahana Manor. Maui on the Fly for baby equipment rentals – this includes baby beach toys and other beach necessities for children. For more details and information check them out on the web!
This resort’s prime location on the beach in Kahana is perfect. With no neighboring resorts, you truly have the ability to relax and unwind. Onsite amenities include free parking, swimming pool, beach and barbecue grills. The resort is within a 10-minute drive of 3 championship golf courses which are open to the public, beaches, nightlife and even free hula shows. Kahana Sunset is ideal to help create your flawless Maui vacation. Whether you're looking for a relaxing vacation or fun-filled getaway, we can help book your activities or simply provide the perfect quiet and quaint spot to rejuvenate. Watch the whales, listen to the surf hitting the shore, and enjoy front row seats to spectacular sunsets with colors that change second-by-second, all while relaxing with your favorite beverage either on the beach or sitting on your own private lanai.
Plenty of fine dining and family-friendly restaurants are within a mile of Kahana Sunset. If you prefer a stay-at-home meal, BBQ right on onsite or enjoy our fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities right at your fingertips. For convenience, there is a Napili Market, a grocery store that is about ¼ mile away. Also located at the Napili Plaza are retail shops and a few eateries including Mama’s Ribs &Rotisserie, A’a Roots, Joey’s, and Maui Tacos. Kitchen 5315 and the Gazebo restaurant are located at the Napili Shores resort. Just on the opposite side of Napili Bay enjoy the Seahouse restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a great Happy Hour with both food and drink specials!
Kapalua is home to some of Maui’s best restaurants. Higher end spots like Merrimans, Sansei, the Plantation House Restaurant, Cane and Canoe, and the Banyan Tree are wonderful for any special occasion.

From booking to our departure, I was highly impressed. You experience the intention for a great getaway. Kahana Sunset has our family’s hearts and we will absolutely be back again. The unit itself as well as the property were fantastic. The other guests staying there and the employees were all so great. We loved our stay and could not recommend more!

Very easy check in and out process. Loved the private beach and conveniently located pool, which had a filtered water machine for refilling our bottles. Grateful for that. We were pleasantly surprised to be snorkeling alongside several tortoises right there at the beach. Some even sleep on the sand. Such a delight! Great views for whale season, as we could spot them regularly swimming by. Convenient location with nearby market, restaurants, and plenty of other beaches a few minutes away.

Our week at Kanaha Sunset was great. The grounds are very lovely, we had visits from several types of birds and we really enjoyed swimming when the ocean was calm. Sullivan properties provides everything you need for a nice stay.

We always love staying at Kahana. It's a great location being beachfront and the grounds are beautiful with palms, fruit and flowering trees, herbs and tropical plants surrounding the pool area. The condo is well stocked being perfect for us to cook at the condo or grill at the barbecue area. The beds were comfortable for a great night's rest.

We had a wonderful stay in D8. The a/c was a great surprise! Condo was as pictured and Kahana sunset is a family favorite- great location and value. My only comment would be that the condo had very little basic amenities (no salt/pepper, tin foil, oil, or bbq utensils). We bought and made do, but just to note for others. We did buy a nice grill set and drink thermos cups for the pool and left it in the condo- hopefully others can enjoy. We will definitely be back to Kahana Sunset- been coming for over 25 years.

We chose kahana sunset for family vacation. And we couldn't have been more happy with our decision.. we just love the Western shores of Maui and kahana sunset did not let us down. Weather your relaxing by the pool side and enjoying the beautiful pool or if you're lounging ocean side on the gorgeous beach. Kahana sunset does not disappoint you. Wildlife in the ocean is extraordinary! We were able to find sea turtles and swim with them everyday that we were there for the one week. Priceless!!
