We had a wonderful stay, our hosts we incredibly helpful and welcoming. This was a perfect quiet spot for our family. We had access to everything we needed to make a relaxing vacation and our kids had so mix fun! We are looking forward to coming back again.

Overall, the unit was as described. We have stayed in other units in the Kahana Sunset and really like the complex and the location. The amenities are wonderful and well cared for.
The unit has everything you need for a great stay. The kitchen is well equipped except for towels for drying dishes. There are lots of beach towels and bath towels. The beds are comfy and the air conditioning worked well.
The unit could use a deep clean as it smelled a bit musty and the carpet on the stairs could use a good clean. Other than that, it was fine. The bathrooms were clean and mold free.
Overall I would recommend staying at the Kahana Sunset. It's easy to access and there's lots of parking for your rental. The area is nice and quiet, with lots of shops and restaurants within a few minutes drive.

This place has so much to offer for such a reasonable price. Awesome location, great snorkeling off a private beach, spacious condos, a fantastic pool, amazing views.

Our family had a great week staying at Kahana Sunset. The property was nice and quiet, and never too busy for our liking. The grounds are pretty and very well maintained, and the beach was great. So nice to have a private beach to just pop into the water for 10 minutes! Parking was free, always space available, and close to the unit. We saw turtles visiting the rocky part of the beach every day. Our unit was exactly as pictured and described, and perfectly clean. We really liked the layout, though it is a bit strange in that there's no bathroom on the lower floor - the two bathrooms are both upstairs off the bedrooms. The living room was comfortable and the tv had every channel, including every tv show imaginable on demand. (I don't think that is in their description, but it should be!) The property is really close (2 min drive) to a strip mall that has a great grocery store (Napili Market) and several restaurants. Overall a great place to stay!

To be honest, my visit to Kahana Sunset far exceeded my expectations. The unit was great for me and a business associate. The service from Sullivan Properties, as well as their follow up has been fantastic. I had no idea there were so few beaches on that side of the island, so having our own private beach to swim, snorkle and just hang was awesome!

Very happy with our rental with Sullivan properties. The apartment (Kahana sunset B6) was very clean, well equipped, photos on their website very accurate. Amazing sea view from the 2 terraces. Sullivan properties provided bathroom and beach towels and some nice recommendations (Guest book). Communication was smooth and very efficient. The Kahana Sunset condo is a little dated but very quiet, very clean and well maintained. The small private beach on property is very nice. Plenty of sun-beds on the ground. Shared BBQ facilities , pool for young children. Beautiful sunsets. Location is perfect to visit the island or Maui. Supermarket and take aways walking distance if needed. Highly recommended!

It was our eighth stay at Kahana Sunset Sullivan properties. Love the area and love Kahana Sunset. The people are always friendly and the condos are always clean and well stocked. We did have an issue with the kitchen sink and it was fixed satisfactorily. We have already rebooked for January, love Maui.

We booked our vacation elsewhere but were notified as we started to drive to it that the property is still in construction and uninhabitable. We were sent to this location instead. Actually was very nice but no restaurant in complex like we were used to and there were stairs up to bedroom and bathroom. Pool was very nice. No beach due to high tides washing it away which is sad. Bed squeeked. Kitchen well stocked. TV good. Complex is on a hill and the path from our unit to parking lot is not good for anyone with walking issues. My husband and I had to hold on to each other for stability. Pathe is not lighted either so we had to use our phones for light.

My entire family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Kahana Sunset for 9 days. The adjoining condos were clean and comfortable and the few minor issues that came up were quickly resolved. Mr kids/grandkids loved the pool and BBQ area and sunsets at the beach were amazing.

This property was fantastic and the team that manages the property is well organized and very communicative. I loved having an app with the details needed in one place. The location was great with gorgeous views and a private beach. I also appreciated the fact no keys were necessary to get around the property - it’s the little details that were thought of that made me happy. I did like the location of the rental, places were easy and quick to get too. However, it is important to note it’s a drive to get to the other side of the island if you plan a trip there. The rental was clean and having the washer and dryer was very helpful. Thank you and I would recommend this place in the future to others.

We loved this little spot. It was a great quiet space to get away from all the busy beaches. The main tench workers were so kind and cleaned the grills every morning. The property was very well taken care of and the herb garden and fruit trees were a lovely addition. We were able to sit out on the wall each morning for coffee and saw turtles hanging out in the waters. Two things we wish were better - the master bath shower was pretty uncomfortable and got the bathroom very wet and also had a leak that got the bottom stair very wet. We let maintenance know and they were prompt to show up but couldn’t find the leak in the pipes so were going to have to come back. The second thing was not having access to any beach equipment like snorkels or boogie boards. I know it was mentioned before hand but I think that would have really made it convenient to have access to and would be willing to pay a deposit for them even! Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would stay at this location again!

Highly recommend Kahana Sunset B6 to people looking for a relaxing place to stay. Views from the balcony are fantastic.

The property was beautiful, our condo was clean and well stocked with soap, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap etc. Our condo was very clean upon arrival. Instructions were clear about location of property and how to enter condo. We received a call 1 week prior to ask if we had any questions. We had top notch service!!!! Everyone was very kind and helpful.

We are annual visitors to the Kahana Sunset, always renting through Sulllivan. It’s a great property with easy access to pool and basically a private beach. Sullivan responds quickly to any inquiry. COVID puts a damper on BBQ time, so you just have to work around it. Nice unit with decent supplies.

Beautiful views and perfect weather. Nice facility and room had AC. No restroom in lower level but the kitchen was larger than other units. Dishwasher didnt work but no biggie. We'll be back

We stayed at Kahana Sunset on the referral of a friend. It was the perfect setting for our first visit to Hawaii. We will be back!

Love Kahana Sunset because it has it's own beach. Our family enjoyed snorkeling right from the beach, swimming and even rented kayaks and launched them from the beach. It is so wonderful to have direct beach access, not having to find parking at some other location. The condo was clean, all appliances were in good working order.

My fourth time staying at Kahana Sunset with Sullivan Properties and I believe all 4 were different condos. As always we were very satisfied with our stay. B-6 was clean and very well stocked. The grounds are awesome and the staff very friendly. We have made this a yearly stay and have already booked for 2022.

The condo was exactly as described, the view is incredible. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary items (coffe maker, blender, microwave, oven/stove, refrigerator, cups, utensils, pots/pans). The a/c worked well on both levels. Small complaint on the master bathroom-the shower partion isn't quite long enough so water ends up on the floor if you arent careful but that is the only fault we found. Plenty of beach towels. There is a table and chairs on the patios perfect for morning coffee and evenings watching the sunset. Older building but well maintained and quiet. Perfect for a relaxing vacation. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maui.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the size and layout of the condo for our family! Amazing view!! The place was clean and in great condition.

We had a couple of things as constructive feedback- TV had a data glitch which created an interruption repeatedly every minute or so, when on TV mode, torn bed skirt in back bedroom in queen bed, no plastic or Rubbermaid containers in kitchen, no plastic ziplocks or foil in kitchen, we wish there were beach chairs provided, as several of the other units our family stayed in, did.

None of these are deal breakers and the place was great!

We have been to Kahana Sunset many times. We love the grounds and the groundskeepers are fantastic and do such an amazing job. The beach is beautiful, clean and fun. You can snorkel with the turtles right from shore. We were able to keep a safe distance between us and others although Masks were rare and Covid cases were on the rise in Maui. The rental unit is in a good location, right in the middle of B building and has a great view. The unit had a few problems which we reported to the property manager and they promised it would all be fixed for the next guest. With Covid, we did not feel like the unit was as clean as it should be and it had grimy handrails and cabinets. The showers needed some cleaning as well. There is no cleaning service and we could have used it with being there 11 days. We wished we had adequate supplies to do our own cleaning, but we had to buy cleaning products, soap, dish soap, laundry soap, paper towels and toilet paper. Only the bare minimum was provided and it was inadequate. Some of the appliances were old and needed replacing but the fridge worked awesome and had an ice maker, which was a nice added bonus. Again, the property owners said they would take care of all of this for the next renters and they were very gracious. We appreciated their quick response to our email notifying them of the issues.
The unit has A/C which was great. Most of the time just having the windows open and the ceiling fan on was sufficient, but we needed the boost from the A/C occasionally.
The grounds, property manager and grounds crew were all fantastic and we so appreciated the help from Junior to assist with a turtle in distress.
Good services at nearby Napili Market, excellent take out from Joeys Kitchen, and superb snorkeling at Kapalua beach. We will stay at Kahana Sunset again and we will carefully look at each unit online before selecting. We love this place!

The photos show exactly what to expect. We (German family with 3 kids) had an outstanding vacation there and would love to come back and recommend it to our best friends.

The condo was exactly like the photos! The apartment was clean and well appointed. The property was beautiful. Staff was great. We will be back!

We saw whales every day we were there. I would return here in a heartbeat. There was a nice mix of ages using the place. I had my coffee on the lanai every morning. It doesn’t get much better than that."

The Whaler had lovely grounds and very convenient access to the beach and beach walk. Nice workout room. Our studio that had nice view of the beach.

“You can’t beat this location if you’re looking for a beautiful, not overcrowded beach AND lots of food and drink options. We checked out the gym for a couple days and that was very modern and almost empty. The pool was remodeled and had actually just opened the day we got there! It’s beautiful and right next to the sand so you can see the waves from these nice little cabanas they’ve got. The room was perfect, not anything fancy but the views were great and for us we’d go back again just for the location and amenities alone :)”

Kelly is an absolute pleasure to communicate with in addition to being a very thoughtful and amazing host! Her place is fabulous and was perfect for our needs. The lanai provides for a serene and peaceful space with a stunning view of the ocean in the morning and breathtaking sunsets at night. It was nice to have a full refrigerator when traveling with 2 kids, a large closet, some books and DVDs. The staff were friendly, responsive and very professional. I cant wait to return and make more memories with my children and family. Thank you so much for the welcome gift and the amazing space! The candied nuts and welcome note was such a nice and thoughtful gift. It made me and the kids feel so special and right at home. I absolutely value appreciate gestures like that. We enjoyed the view from the Lanai everyday and the noodle floats for the pool and ocean. The staff was amazing and very helpful. We would love to come back soon and thank you so much for everything. It was such a privilege to make these incredible memories with my family and have .Mahalo nui loa Kelly!

This property is closely located to the whalers village and by Ka'anapali beach s the location cant be beat. I will definitely come back!

Beautiful ocean and mountain view from the deck. They have a surface parking lot for when the underground garage is full, parking was free. Only snags I would mention are the bed sheets were uncomfortable/didn't breathe well, the front desk had trouble finding our reservation upon arrival for some reason, and there's a resort fee is $25/night not included in your airBnB total. Overall really amazing place and worth the cost. Thanks!!!

This place is amazing, the view is incredible . Private and quite, but at the same time a lively atmosphere once you get to the beach. The room has all the comforts from home. I would definitely will be coming back. Thank you Sullivan properties for having us .

as a 1st time VRBO renter we did not really know what to expect, tried to keep our expectations low but very excited to spend 2 weeks on Kaanapali beach so there was concern about all of the what if's. It turned out to be just fine, check in was easy and quick, under ground parking was super convenient. A wash bay for the car? Come on! Overall property was well maintained and clean, pool area was great. Our room was slightly dated but clean and perfect for our two weeks. We would certainly stay again in the same room.

We LOVE the Whaler and this unit was great! The views are fantastic, the kitchen was well stocked and it was an overall great trip!

This Sullivan property was a fantastic choice for our vacation. The location couldn't be beat - just a short walk to the beach and close to all the local shops and restaurants. The pool was a real highlight, especially for the kids. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again.

Was a fantastic property and location could not be beat. Loved the unit for the 3 of us. We never left Kaanapali. Cooked nearly ever day & night. Ate on patio with a view. Kids could walk over to Whaler's Village at night. Played pickleball and used the gym daily - all wonderful facilities. Nice staff and complementary laundry. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Kaanapali! It was a fantastic location right on the beach, and was great to be able to utilize all the hotel amenities. Was hard to say goodbye to the beautiful location!

Another great stay in the Whaler unit 763. The unit was clean and well suited for our visit to Kaanapali Beach. We look forward to staying in this unit again soon.

Everything was superb - great location for restaurants, shopping, whale watching, beach walking. The room was lovely - nice balcony view of the ocean, clean and well stocked. The only thing that disturbed us was the air conditioner that ran all the time on the property next door.

We were very pleased with our rental. We are long time guest of the whaler and have experienced several rentals. Upon arrival our condo was immaculately clean. It had a beautiful view on both mountain and ocean sides. Bed was comfortable as was the pullout couch. All and all it was a great unit.

The location of this property was amazing. The unit was quiet and private with a great deck that had a beautiful ocean view. Everything in the apartment worked and was very clean. Although the decor inside the unit was a bit dated, the grounds were exquisitely maintained and modern, and the onsite staff were helpful and friendly. The gym was excellent and the pool/hot tub were clean and fun. Access to the beach was easy.

We absolutely loved our stay on Kā'anapali Beach! The view from the lanai was spectacular! We loved getting up in the morning and having coffee on the lanai with that gorgeous view of Kā'anapali Beach. There's still a beach in front of the Whaler (unlike some of Kā'anapali Beach hotels) so walking on the beach was easyily accessed. Watching the sunset from the lanai was just as spectacular! We were pleasantly surprised when we got to the condo because the living area looked better than the photos on the listing because the furniture has been updated since those photos were taken. The Hula Grill and Hui Hui restaurants are next door on either side of the Whaler with fresh, local Hawaiian food and live entertainment nightly. If you want to shop, the Whaler's Village shops are also right next door. Snorkeling and sunset cruise tours pick up on the beach very near the hotel, so we didn't even need a car. Everything was so convenient and not at all crowded in September. Our stay was absolutely wonderful!

Cannot beat the location. The building feels like a hotel- the staff is so helpful and kind and the pool and beach are so convenient. The place itself is great for 2 people and it was close to elevators and laundry. Next to Whalers Village you have everything you need. And the view- best I’ve had in Maui.

We loved the place. My husband and I stayed with our 4 year old. The pull out bed was perfect for our little guy. The view from the patio is beautiful. We cooked and bbq’ed with all the supplies we needed from the condo. Nice walk in closet and plenty of storage for a studio. Clean, great location, perfect trip!! I’d definitely recommend this place!!

Whaler is a great place to stay

Our room 763 nice but outdated. Not enough pillows. Towels were old. Could replace the towels for bath.

763 The Whaler met or exceeded all expectations. Only issue was the loud noise from generators at the neighboring property, right across from our unit, 24 hours a day

Everything was clean they had all the necessities we needed in a great location and the staff is amazing. We will always use Sullivan properties.

Condo is beautiful and spacious, the stockpile of minimal necessities like hand soaps and extra paper towels and toilet paper, along with towels is a bit disappointing, given the overall condition of the condo being new and updated.. just make sure to hit Costco and buy plenty of extra stuff for the condo ahead of time.

Unit is as advertised in the pictures. Amazing ocean view from the deck and living room, we saw whales off shore most days from the deck, and turtles and even a seal on the beach! Unit was clean as could be, no bug problems to speak of. A/C worked great and felt super nice to come home to after a long day in the sun/beach. Location is perfect, with a sandy beach on site and right in the middle of Kaanapali and Napili/Kapalua. Space is very large (family of 5), not typical small/stuffy condo. 3 bathrooms were nice so each bedroom had their own space. Only negative was elevator breaking down several times a day for most of the trip. Its a a pain in the neck to carry up groceries or your beach gear (and self) 7 flights up after a long day at the beach. Thats the only complaint though. I guess pigeon poop on deck/table was also a minor inconvenience, but not too bad. Sullivan was great and easy to work with, and even brought us a bag of dishwasher pods when we noticed we didnt have any. There was ample supplies under the stairs on our visit, 2 small beach chairs, noodles, a boogie board, lots of snorkel gear, fins, sand toys, volleyball and football, even water shoes. Note, the snorkel gear lacks the clip connecting snorkel to mask. But if you can get some clips or find a fix, no need to rent any gear! Tons of kitchen supplies too. It was an amazing trip to beautiful Maui and the place felt clean, comfy and even a little bit luxurious. Would definitely stay here again and book through Sullivan!

We had such a great stay here. The location was fantastic, easy beach access and walkable to a couple small markets and restaurants. It is 10 minutes drive to larger whiter sand beaches with snorkeling and many other markets and restaurants. The unit was very clean and large and accommodated 6 adults and two toddlers easily. The views were wonderful especially the beach facing balcony. We rented some beach chairs and toys and then found a good stash in the cabinet under the stairs so we were well supplied. Check-in and out was very easy. I spoke with the manager a few times before we arrived and received very warm and friendly customer service. Highly recommend.

We had the most spectacular time at this property. It was like being at home, but in a magical location. Th home was stocked with everything you’d need to take a family vacation. The beds were comfortable and the home was immaculate. We had large family dinners every night and the kitchen was ready for use. The view of f the ocean and pool was the best! There were floats and other beach equipment under the stairs. We could not have picked a better place to stay!! We’ll be back!!

We brought our family to Maui for Christmas. 474 was perfect for four adults and 3 kids lots of room for everyone well equipped no disappointments. Resort has everything you need. Beach pool pickleball restaurant. Definitely would recommend

We had the trip of a lifetime staying at this beautiful condo. It truly was just as beautiful being home as doing all the “Maui” getaways. This unit was perfectly stocked for a family stay from toys to kitchen essentials. Looking out the window you can see the pool, vacationers and many a turtle. We loved our stay ❤️

Sands of Kahana Property:My husband and I have stayed at the Sands of Kahana in the past and have always enjoyed our stay. The property has easy beach access and two pools (including a spa and a children’s pool). The beach is a little bit on the smaller side, but it doesn’t generally feel really crowded. The ocean is pretty gentle on this little beach on this side of the island, which is what we prefer. Parking is generally pretty easy, but some of the spots can be on the smaller side. There are tennis courts, smaller gyms in each of the buildings, a restaurant near the beach that has a daily happy hour, and lastly, there are paddleboards, kayaks, etc. that you can rent (as long as wind permits). The elevators can be a little slow / get backed up; especially when multiple units are checking out at the same time and heading to the airport. I’d recommend packing and getting your car organized earlier than you were planning as the elevator will generally stop at every floor as people are gearing to leave.Location:The location is about 15 minutes from the main downtown Lahaina area and it’s about half that time away from Whalers Village which has some fancier shopping options (this is also where Hula Grill, MonkeyPod, and Leilani’s is located).You are also pretty close to The Gazebo which is in the opposite direction of Lahaina. There are also good options within walking distance including, Miso Phat Sushi and Hawai‘ian Village Coffee.Accommodations:The penthouse has three separate bedrooms and they all have an ensuite bathroom and a balcony / lanai. The views outside each of the rooms (including the common area) are really gorgeous. Sullivan provides a pretty solid starter kit – each bathroom has about two rolls of toilet paper and hand soap (it might be in the original bottle or in the decorative dispenser), the kitchen had a small bottle of Dawn and two paper towel rolls, and the laundry room contained a small bottle of detergent. While they don’t provide any beach or pool equipment, they do keep any equipment that is in good condition that people leave behind and there was a pretty decent selection. Lastly, there was an A/C unit that kept the place nice and cool.Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great unit, great location, great facilities.

We stayed in the condo for my son's wedding in Lahaina. There were 3 couples - each room had its own bathroom which made it very comfortable and private for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and cooking utensils - but bring your own staples as the pantry is empty. We enjoyed our stay.

Had a fabulous stay at Sands of Kahana. Property is beautiful and amenities were great including restaurant paddle boards . Close to shopping and fantastic snorkeling. Unit very well equipped for cooking .

Everything was as described in this condo. The condo was perfect for the six of us. The sun sets were fantastic every night.

This unit is absolutely beautiful. Beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. The onsite restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner was awesome and service was great! Property was very clean.

Weather wasn't great, but the condo was a nice place to hide from it.

The place was wonderful. Pictures were great, the actual place is better. Larger than how it appears in the photos. The master bedroom was a luxurious treat, facing the ocean. The other two bedrooms were large, facing the mountain. The upstairs room felt like a unit unto itself. One person in our group did stay on the pull out sofa bed in the living room. It's large, but not the most comfortable as its a bit old.
Kitchen is updated and a good size. The condo. does have AC so you'll be comfortable.
Walking to see the sunrise on the beach each morning was spectacular. And the evenings on the balcony having dinner and star gazing was a treat. (We star some shooting stars!). There's a bar and grill on property for convenience. Many open grills to use. A small gym too (outdated but functional). About a 10 min. drive to Front street. There's really good sushi place across the street (Miso Phat). In short, we had a really great time. Recommended!!!

Our condo was exceptionally beautiful! It provided great views of the beach and the resort. I loved that it was spacious and was well kept. On top of that, it had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, as well as snorkeling equipment.

This unit in the Sands of Kahana is perfect for three couples. Each room is a master suite with it's own bathroom. The kitchen has all been updated with new appliances. The air conditioning unit works really well for the warm evenings. The Sands of Kahana has a restaurant with a bar downstairs with a really nice happy hour and pretty good food. Our stay had the amenities of a resort with the feel of being home. I would definitely return!

Spacious suite with ocean views from every room except upstairs. Top notch appliances, including the washer and dryer. The kitchen was huge and well appointed. Our favorite room was the patio off the master bedroom. We ate every meal we’re were home there. The view was outstanding- you could see your party in both pools and on the beach and it wasn’t as windy as patios on the other buildings. Laundry soap, a hairdryer,books, kid sand toys, a chair, mats, fins, beach towels, and snorkels were in the unit when we were there. We have stayed in buildings 2 and 1 before and this is our favorite building because of the views, location, and wind factor.

This family’s first big vacation together and our condo was so much more then imagined. Incredible beautiful views off 3 different balconies. The condo was extremely clean newly remodeled. So spacious and decorated modern with Hawaiian style. Couldn’t have been better .

Unit 384 is perfect for a family! We loved looking over the lanai and spotting turtles swimming in the ocean right below us. This unit was stocked with everything we could need! especially beach necessities and more! Loved the restaurant on property, and great beach right outside the door!!
